Williams Lineages Underway

  This section is for people to post the various Williams lineages they are working on. This is an effort to publicize that brick wall you may or may not be hitting in hopes of finding others who either have information or are at the same wall. This section is now in a database and to make surfing the entries easier, I have set it up to display 15 lineages at a time. Simply use the next and previous buttons to navigate around!

   And, as another improvement to the site, you can now add your own lineage to the list without having to email me directly! Simply visit the lineage submission form and follow the instructions! It's as easy as that!

Father of James M. Williams is SAMUEL WILLIAMS, per marriage bond.

All research (hired and personal) have found no records of the parents of Richard Davis Williams. (Not to be confused with Richard D. Williams, huntsville, NC---same area).
I would appreciate any help. 6 Generations lived in same area of Rockingham County then just dries up at Richard Davis Williams.
also, anyone with information on James M WIlliams and Samuel Williams would be greatly appreicated.

His Father name is unknown, said to be born in Germany
his Mother's name unknown, Censes states she was born in Massachusetts. I was told by the family that he was raised by his Aunt and Uncle. that is all I have to go on. Please can someone help me?

I have Corneluis Williams, B 1844 in the Netherlands. He and his wife, Johanna Van Dyke, come to the US and settled in Wisconsin. I haven't been able to find them by that spelling of their names in www.genlias.nl. I have however found Corneluis Wilms and Johanna Van Dijk.

Has anyone else found something similar or know where I could find something about this specific name change?

George W Williams was born about 1839 in Ohio and passed in 1925. He married Lavina M in 1876. I cannot find any information on Lavina M, her maiden name, etc. One of George and Lavina's sons was my grandfather John Milton Williams who married Annabelle Upshaw in Missouri.

George was the son of John B Williams and Francinah Adams Blue. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for information on my great grandfather whose name is either Rafe or Racf Williams and was married to LouAnna Williams. Both were married in Montgomery, Alabama. They had several children: Daughters Willie Mae Williams now known as Mary Lee Johnson and my grandmother, Lou Ann Hunter, Martha Carpenter(she had a different name as well and changed it to Martha), Sons, Jiles Williams, Sabe Williams, Dan Williams, Willie Williams and Mac Williams all born in Montgomery, Alabama.

Looking for the Williams line that included:

George (poss. Hardwick) Williams b. 2 Feb 1844 AL m. Indiana Duke bca 1850 MS. Counted in the 1850 census in Desoto Twp MS - George, farmer age 26, wife Indiana 24, son Winston 2, daughter Mary 6 mos (this was my great grandmother). By 1880 census they were in Lafayette County MS - with additional children Henrietta 8, Tolbert 5, John 4 and Atir 1. Sometime between 1887 and 1900 they removed to Hunt County, TX where they were counted in the census: George 56, Indiana 50. Also in the household were Tolbert 25, Bettie 17, Benjamin 14 and Virginia 12.

Johm Vance Williams was born in 1853 in Rome, Floyd County, GA. He married Sarah Eveline Parks in July of 1876. They had two boys: Allan Vance & John Parks.

John Vance Williams was the son of James Williams, census says James was born in North Carolina. Wife's first name was Elizabeth. They had the following sons: George, William, Newton, John. James and his sons fought honorably for the Confederacy. John was too young.

James lived through the war and died in Georgia.

I am searching for any information on Elizabeth's last name & family and James' parents.

Looking for lineage/parentage of William Williams. Potentially born circa 1784 died circa 1860. Married to Nancy (no last name)

Believe he was born and married in North Carolina.

Only certainty is they had a daughter named Hannah Elizabeth born March 3 1828 and died March 4 1912. She married a man by the last name of Philley... and they moved to Texas.

Any help is appreciated!
